Update on SAPP, Majimbun

I managed to speak to SAPP Deputy President and Sepanggar MP Datuk Eric Majimbun this afternoon. He confirmed that SAPP had not abandoned the plan to table a no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

"I stand by my statement to the Press in Kota Kinabalu on June 28," he said. I had posted that comment earlier where Majimbun said he would table the motion at the right time.

Meanwhile, SAPP Secretary-General Datuk Richard Yong today also denied media report that the party had aborted the plan to table the motion of no confidence against the Primer Minister.

With Majimbun and Richard saying that, it will be interesting what Vice President and Tawau MP Datuk Dr Chua Soon Bui have to say now. She was the source of the story which newspapers in the country published front page today saying that the SAPP is no longer pursuing the matter.
