Radin: PBS still needs Pairin

Parti Bersatu Sabah secretary general Datuk Radin Maleh said party president Datuk Seri Joseph Pairin Kitingan's leadership is still needed by the party and that he still enjoys full support of the party members and grassroots.

He said that it was not for Kiulu PBS divisional head Sindin Ranggangon to decide on leadership matters.

"There is no hurry for a leadership handover. Deputy President Datuk Dr Maximus Ongkili and other leaders can wait for their time," Radin said Thursday.

He said Sindin should be referred to the party's disciplinary committee for breaching party rules and procedures.

Radin was commenting to Sindin call (see earlier posting) for Pairin to step down for Ongkili to take over after leading the party for 23 years.

My Say:

Just before the election, I remembered Sindin resigned from his senior post in the Federal National Unity Department to, he said then, concentrate strengthening the Kiulu Division. It was also reported that he was promised to be the candidate but came the election, Pairin maintained incumbent Datuk Louis Rampas to defend the seat. Rampas won.
