Tenom Member of Parliament Raimie Unggi today failed in his bid to be elected Tenom Umno Youth Divisional chairman when he only managed to get 83 votes. He was defeated by Jamawi Jaafar who polled 110 votes.
The new Tenom Umno Youth chief is a Special Officer to the Rural and Regional Development Minister.
The division also nominated Rembau MP Khairy Jamaluddin to contest for the national Umno Youth head in the party's election in March next year.
