'It was inaccurate'

Datuk Dr Marcus Mojigoh (pix) , the Barisan Nasional (BN) member of Parliament for Putatan, said the written answer by Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Johari Baharum to DAP Cheras MP Tan Kok Wai about BN MPs spending almost RM1 million for various festive celebrations last year was inaccurate.

Mojigoh told the Press in Kota Kinabalu today that as one of the so-called top 10 who spent almost RM1 million, he sought clarification from Johari as soon as the written reply was published in the newspapers.

"He (Johari) admitted to me that it (the answer) was inaccurate," he said.

Four other Sabah's MPs were also stated in the Deputy Minister's written reply to the DAP MP to have spent almost RM1 million. They are Datuk Eric Majimbun (Sepanggar), Datuk Dr Chua Soon Bui (Tawau), Salleh Kalbi (Silam) and Raimie Unggi (Tenom).

Majimbun had called on the Anti Corrpution to investigate.

Mojigoh described the Deputy Minister's answer as ridiculous.

"I can't even celebrate my children's birthday let alone hold open house and to say I spent nearly RM1 million for festivities is not only ridiculous but also stupid," he said.
