SAPP to join Pakatan Rakyat

Former Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Yong Teck Lee, who pulled out his Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) from Barisan Nasional on Sept 17, today had a meeting with Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in Kota Kinabalu.

Anwar confirmed this to reporters after opening Parti Keradilan Rakyat service centre for Kota Kinabalu constituency in Jalan Damai, Luyang this afternoon. He further told reporters the same after opening Sabah PKR Convention in Tuaran.

When asked whether he would invite SAPP to join Pakatan Rakyat, Anwar said," This is being done."

Anwar is expected to elaborate further about his meeting the SAPP president in a Press conference at 9am tomorrow before returning to Kuala Lumpur.

Meanwhile, Yong is scheduled to give a Press conference at 12.30pm tomorrow after opening the party's new office at Putatan Square, Putatan.
