Datuk Seri Joseph Pairin Kitingan is chairing Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) supreme council meeting today to finalise the party's list of candidates in the March 8 polls. Although on candidates list, it is anticapated that Pairin will not announced them yet.
Since Pairin had announced that he will be defending his Keningau Parliament and Tambunan State seats, likely contest in the card will be a Kitingans fight for one of the constituencies.
Parti Keadilan Rakyat Vice President Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan will be contesting in one of the seats, if not both.
I like to see a Jeffrey and Tan Sri Joseph Kurup (president of Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah) contest in Sook. In the 2004 election, Kurup defeated Jeffrey in Sook while back in 1999 Jeffrey defeated Kurup in Bingkor.
