SAPP VP quits

One of the Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP)eight Vice Presidents Norbert Chin today confirmed that he had resigned from all posts in the party led by Ex-Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Yong Teck Lee.

Chin said his resignation had been accepted and ceased to be a member of the party's supreme council effective Aug 30, 2008. He said he resigned to concentrate on his legal practise.

The other VPs are Datuk Frankia Chong,Datuk Dr Chua Soon Bui, Au Kam Wah, Melania Chia, Datuk Rashid Gador, Shim Paw Fatt, Jimmy Wong and Don Chin.

Chin's resignation seemed to confirm that SAPP is facing a split with more to follow suit.

This `mass resignation' of party's leaders had to do with Yong's decision to call for no-confidence vote against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

My Say:

What's next of this party?
