PKR to Protest

Opposition Parti Keadilan Rakyat will go all out to protest and stop the relocation of illegal immigrants from Labuam to Kampung Kionsom, Inanam.

PKR Sabah deputy liaison chairman Daniel John Jambun said he and friends will surely organise a big demonstration to show to the world that illegals are not welcome in Kampung Kionsom.

"I am willing to be jailed if that it take to champion the people's rights," Jambuan said.

He said Kampung Kionsom is next to his village, Kampung Bambangan, Inanam.

Jambun statement on this issue is published in the Daily Express of today's edition. I am yet to hear comments from Inanam Assemblyman Johnny Goh on this `mother of problem' matter.

Nationalism as invoked and pursued by the Malaysian Federation will never overwhelm the natural-born nationalism thoughts of indigenous Borneons!

We agreed to the formation of Malaysia in 1963 with the strong belief that we would be treated well...but past and recent events historically recorded that...economically, politically and socially...we are being marginalised!

Sabah and Sarawak " ONLY AGREED TO BE PART OF THE FEDERATION AFTER BEING MOVED BY THE AUTONOMOUS STATUS FACTOR "...meaning to say that without being able to govern autonomously....we would have rejected Malaysia!

A raw summary....THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT MUST RETURN SABAH'S AUTONOMOUS STATUS TO ENSURE ANOTHER HALF CENTURY OF PROGRESS!

We humbled...and agreed to a bargain of 20% oil-royalty....when it should be set at a minimum of 50%! Please give us back our honour and pride..."even though we are men of the forest!"

....a young Sarawakian wrote this somewhere:

You do not need to go as far as UK to experience racism. 21 of us recently just came back from West Malaysia to be educated in one of the country’s top universities have a lot of stories to tell which are related to the matter. Funny that we were called “bunch of students from overseas” in the campus. People obviously did not consider us as part of Malaysia. Sarawakians and Sabahans in that particular university are minorities. How would you feel when West Malaysians greet you “Welcome to Malaysia!” the moment you step into your campus? Not only we felt insulted, but it also reflected the attitudes of those living in peninsular, very ignorant. As if Malaysia is only consisted of Malay, Chinese and Indian that live in West Malaysia. What about other ethnics and races in both Sarawak and Sabah, are we not part of the so-called ‘multiracial country’ too? Sometimes it makes us wonder why did Sarawak join Malaysia in the first place, are we really THAT significant? I have asked many young people of my age, in fact each of my Sarawakian friends think “It’s useless for Sarawak to be part of Malaysia now because people from the other side do not recognize us and they are more developed because they have sucked up all the wealth from our state, living us left far behind in many aspects! They even think we still live on trees! Not fair!”
When I reflected on the matter, I started to feel worry for certain thing. I wonder what will happen to us and our state’s political scene in the future, especially when one day the country and the state are going to be governed by people of my generation. Is it going to be stable, or is it going to get ugly? I do not know, only time can tell. There is even talk among us that it would not be surprising IF one day Sarawakians are going to demand for an ‘independent country’! They said, “If small countries such as Brunei and Singapore can survice it, why can’t we? We have more resources.”
This might sound like a ‘kopi-tiam talk’, but it cannot be taken for granted. I think nowadays we are not merely dealing with racism issues, but also ’semangat kewilayahan’ as mentioned by one of my friends. Should we blame it on our education system or the country’s politics? Rather than looking for a scapegoat, I guess it is better we work on a solution. This is something for our current leaders to ponder upon. Whatever they are doing now will affect they way we live in the future.

ps:….I adore this young man’s thought!

Who are they? Over here….on Malaysia’s eastern shores we are co-existing very, very well…all races and religions united under the Borneon skies!

Only 3 major ethnic groups…Malay, Indian and Chinese…yet they can’t find peace among themselves! And please oi Malayans…please do not export your bloody racism to our shores! WE GONNA REJECT THEM LIKE HELL!

UMNO TRESPASSED SABAH’S RACIAL AND RELIGIOUS HARMONY BEGINNING THE RISING OF PAIRIN IN THE MID-80s…..so please STAY OUT OFF OUR SHORES!

….what is UMNO….to decide what’s best for Malaysia? I tell you Putrajaya….Sabah and Sarawak decide what is best for the Nation! Without us….there would never have been a federation called Malaysia!

The Malayans have been sucking our natural resources all these 45 years….and leaving us with dusty gravel roads and jambatan gantungs!

WE ARE MEN OF THE FOREST AND …PERHAPS ONLY FROM THE FOREST THAT REAL JUSTICE BE TREATING US WELL!

Nunuk Ragang!!!..

Saya juga befikir kenapa kita masih mengharap UMNO untuk menjaga negeri Sabah & Sarawak, apa kita nie buduh sangatkah sampai tidak boleh berdiri atas kaki sendiri, apa "magic" negara kecil spt Singapura(before, part of M'sia)pakai sampai boleh mengurus negara sendiri, apakah orang Sabah & Sarawak belum ada yang berpendidikan tinggi..., orang semenanjung sudah tidak percaya dgn pimpinanya lagi, lihat PR Ke-12(tapui kita di Sabah & Sarawak masih memaksa supaya, Orang disebarang sana memimpin negeri kita)...bingung,bingungggg!!!!!...

Remadel,

Mahathir claimed to have lifted Malaysia to that of developed nation. What a farce.
All the petrol money had been laundered to build the twin tower, the penang bridge, the KLIA, etc etc. Next the crooked bridge.
Yet Sabah, the state that peoduce most of the oil is the highest in terms of poverty rate! With the Lingham case hoovering over his head, we know for now his power in his prime time can be sold at a price. So you think those projects he created were free from wheelings and dealings?

Datuk Abdul rahman Dahlan said " Selamat Jalan to Tun Dr Mahathir when le left UMNO. I added:

Kalau ikut rasa ati Selamat Jalan juga saya ucapkan. Apa tidaknya? Disebalik "kejayaan" nya, Rakyat miskin semakin meningkat.

Bukan seperti sekarang....PBS, UMNO, UPKO,SAPP,LDP,PBRS...TAJAU KITA SUDAH PECAH!
