Approved on the spot

Last night I attended a political gathering of a political party. The main speaker was the candidate. At the end of his talk, I approached him to complain about the road to my village and without second thought he approved repair on the spot. He promised that today the contractor will inspect the road and Monday repair work begin.

I hope this is not just a promise to woo our votes. And if indeed repair work is done, I wish that every day is election so that whatever the villagers asked will be granted on the spot.
